Normie liberal boomerism is running on fumes. The only reason the charge of "racism" has such purchase is that it used to bring to mind segregated lunch counters and racial slurs.

As with almost everything else on the left, they dishonestly co-opted the term, leveraging "systemic racism" (meaning a disparity in outcomes, something which has always and will always exist), to evoke the same level of disgust amongst the clueless as a redneck with a pillowcase on his head howling "nig**r". I don't think this is so much of an intellectual shift as it is a loss of the disgust that these things used to evoke due to the constant gaslighting.

With the exception of the credulous, these charges no longer stick. This dynamic is, fundamentally, why the left is falling apart (not just along this axis, but many others). You can only lie to people, even if they are morons, so many times before they catch on, especially if reality is repeatedly punching them in the face, as it has a tendency to do.

It's high time to do away with all forms of preferential treatment for certain identities. Equal treatment under the law now!

Thanks! I get angry and write stuff like this. Did you just see where Kamala said that to save our planet with the "green new deal" that we need depopulation? I told her to go first and take Walz with her.

At its core, leftism is ultimately a death cult:

As I was reading about the inability of DEI policies and discrimination when expertise is required to "build the power plants, fly the planes, pave the roads, and conduct the open-heart surgery," I could not help but think of the incompetence still on display by the US Secret Service, which has proven itself incapable of safeguarding a presidential candidate. Prediction: we will learn that the so-far-anonymous site agent responsible for the security plan is a DEI hire. His (her?) identity apparently is still a closely guarded secret, which just increases my suspicion.

No doubt. The regime won't permit this information to be released until it is irrelevant. The only way it is released before then is via a whistleblower or some other means of circumventing regime control.

I am not quite convinced that it is overt racism as much as it is the expansion of government power and the welfare state, as the inclusion of Asians as 'white' showed that this policy was anti-achievement and pro-entitlement. The course of civil rights actions you describe tracked with the Court also redefining property in pre/post deprivation cases. It was all ideological maneuvering with the Justices using whatever justifications (reasoning?) they saw fit to get the outcome they wanted to see. That is why I am convinced the SC is the true sovereign in our government, as they are the ones who have made the exceptions.
